Allows you to easily filter out those annoying gold seller messages!
After getting frustrated with the crazy amount of gold seller messages.
I broke down and created an addon to get rid of them once and for all.
- /spamfilter toggle to enable filtering.
- /spamfilter verbose to see what messages are being filtered.

This addon has changed my gaming experience, that’s for sure!
Update:
I have added the ability to add/remove custom filter words. This allows you to filter out any kind of SPAM you would like!
- /spamfilter words Displays the list of words used to identify SPAM. (3 matches result in a filtered message)
- /spamfilter add WORD Add a new word to identify SPAM
- /spamfilter remove WORD Remove a word
Left is Stormwind with the SPAMFilter addon.
Right is Terokkar Forest without the SPAMFilter addon.
not working
Out of the box it doesn’t filter whispers. You can edit the LUA file to hook whispered spam.
Do you have a repo for this? I have a few QoL changes that I made in my own copy of the downloaded addon.
